Maria Blanco graduated from Smith College with high honors in history, studied at Oxford University and received her masters in journalism at Northwestern University. She was awarded the Bloomberg Fellowship to study business and economic reporting in a joint program between the Medill School of Journalism and the Kellogg School of Management; that's where she met her co-author.
Maria grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. Raised Unitarian Universalist, she's a believer that love comes with no judgment and conditions. Jane Black graduated from Boston College and received her master's degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, where she was also awarded the Bloomberg fellowship. When not busy defining the male species, Jane writes speeches for executives. Jane grew up on the infamous Jersey Shore a strict Catholic. In her dating years, Jane attracted the Binge Drinker, Fantasy Football Freak, Manipulative, Preppy-Kicked Out, Saab Driver-type, but ultimately chose for her life partner a Boxer Wearer, Divorcé, Midwesterner, Only Child, Tall Guy, Volvo Driver. Jane lives with her fiancé. She proves the theory: love and happiness don't always come wrapped in the package you expected.
